This toy is possibly the world's oldest flying toy! Over 2,000 years ago, the Chinese invented a toy of this type called the "Chinese Top," which consisted of a propeller attached to a stick. A helicopter-type flying toy of this kind was given to the Wright brothers by their father, and they became fascinated with the idea of flying.
